Chris' Songs - Steve & DC

When my singing group sang on the Steve & DC radio show, they wanted us to sing a jingle for the show. So, instead of singing "Steve and DC, Steve and DC" over and over, we decided to write a short song. Dave Taylor came up with an idea for the verse and sang it to the rest of us, and I went home and wrote a chorus. We got back together and started getting it down on paper. Bruce Darrow and Steve Bogart helped with arranging it. It was definitely a group effort.

Steve & DC

I wake up ev'ry mornin' list'nin' to the Steve & DC show
(ooh Steve & DC, Steve & DC)
My belly hurts from laughin' as I listen on my car radio
(ooh Steve & DC, Steve & DC)
These guys are so damn funny that I don't care if the traffic is slow
(just tune in)

Steve & DC with Madam Cucci
Steve & DC and Courtney too
Steve & DC with the Mad Hoosier
Screamin' and a yellin' 'bout the rang dang doo

Steve & DC with Dan Duffy
Steve & DC and Racy Stacy too
Steve & DC with the O'Rear Sisters
Raisin' us like they were raised in 1902
Listen to Steve & DC.

It was a lot of fun to sing on the show (you may remember us as the singin' med students). We also sang Johnny Cash's "Ring of Fire" (a la the Bobs) and the Spencer Davis Group's "Gimme Some Lovin'". They still play the jingle now and then.
