Chris' Songs - You and Me
Don't confuse this with "You and I", a song a wrote in high school. "You and
Me" is a groovy R&B-type song. Probably inspired (in hindsight, not on
purpose) by En Vogue's "Never Gonna Get It" and Boyz II Men's "Motown
Philly", this song I wrote with having the House Jacks singing it in mind.
I never got around to sending it to them, though, and my current group,
MACH 1 now sings it (though
I'd certainly let the House Jacks pick it up!).

It was ideal.

These two lines are actually inspired from a completely different person.

We could never stay together but we never ever stay apart
In the chorus, the phrases that end with "back" are all sung at the same
time. The beginning of each phrase is staggerred from the others, but all
end on the word "back" at the same time.
